Our Economic Development and P3 practice focuses on developing economic development opportunities through traditional Communities Facilities Districts (CFDs) and Assessment Districts (ADs), newer financing districts such as Enhanced Infrastructure and Facilities Districts (EIFDs) and Opportunity Zones, and public private partnerships. We have worked with both public agencies and private parties to develop creative funding solutions for transit-oriented mixed-use developments, transportation centers, roadway/street improvements, commercial-retail developments, amusement parks, healthcare facilities, event centers, and master-planned residential and commercial development.
Our approach to any P3 or economic development project begins with a deep understanding of the goals and financial constraints of all involved parties, enabling us to guide discussions and negotiations effectively. NHA has years of experience developing financial models that can be integral to advancing these negotiations and distills complex information, including legal/financial constraints and business deal terms, into clear presentations for all stakeholders involved, including electeds and the general public. NHA always seeks to balance the competing risk profiles of private parties vs. public agencies by creating win-win solutions for both sides of the table.
